is Chinese economic reform over? is China undergoing a "counter-reform"? I am not an economist, but in recent yours it is observed that there is a shifts in policy in China that reinforce the "socialist" aspect of the Chinese economic system, often in response to challenges that arise from Chinese economic reform. This can be called "counter-reform". Some instances of counter-reform in this context might include strengthening the position of state-owned enterprises, push for "common prosperity" etc. It's important to note that these counter-reforms do not necessarily mean a complete rollback of the market-oriented reforms. Instead, they are often intended to correct perceived excesses, mitigate risks, and ensure the long-term stability and sustainability of China's economic model.
